The 2017 Race to Dubai’s champion and runner-up, Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose, began the new campaign immediately at the UBS Hong Kong Open and have started promisingly to produce similar success.

Fleetwood was perhaps let down by his worst round of the week, a 69, on Sunday that knocked him down to solo sixth, whilst Rose added on third 68 of the week at Hong Kong Golf Club to scrape inside the top 10.

Right at the top, Wade Ormsby hung on for his first European Tour title, despite finishing with a bogey on the 72nd hole. The full leaderboard is available here.

At the climax of last season Rose mounted an immense late charge with two wins and a tied fourth in his final three events but Fleetwood managed to just hold his fellow Englishman off, eventually winning by 500,000 points.

Between them racking up 36 events and comfortably over 10,000,000 points, the duo will be striving to replicate their 2017 dominance in the new season and have got off to a statement start.
